There are skills for Peter, skills for Miles, and shared abilities — and absolutely everything can be upgraded in one playthrough. Individual skills will benefit one character or the other, while the common tree will enhance both. Development includes increasing health, damage, acrobatics, and recovery speed of moves. After a large-scale prologue that immediately grabs attention, the plot focuses on the confrontation with the antagonist Kraven the Hunter, who wants to eliminate all superheroes and supervillains. As the struggle with him unfolds, the narrative shifts its focus to Norman Osborn and his son Harry, who suffers from a mysterious illness. The city’s loading has been accelerated, and now you can switch between heroes in the app or teleport quickly in just a couple of seconds.
As Peter and Miles attempt to stop Venom, Peter is debilitated by a trace amount of the symbiote still within him. After Miles settles his differences with Li, the latter uses his powers to convert Peter’s symbiote traces into the Anti-Venom symbiote, which can destroy other symbiotes. Concurrently, Venom recovers the meteorite that originally brought him to Earth and empowers himself with it, accelerating his infestation on New York.
The gameplay builds on the foundation established by its predecessors, with an emphasis on the multiple play styles offered by Peter Parker and Miles Morales as Spider-Men. The game expands on their existing traversal and combat abilities, including new web-based gadgets and suits that can be unlocked through progressing in the story. It also introduces the former Spider-Man’s symbiote suit, granting Parker unique abilities from his previous playable appearance. Head for Avengers Tower (the tall skyscraper with the red A on it), then check the buildings just West of it. The Spider-Bot will be here on the North face of one of the brick buildings. This Spider-Bot, Spider-Punk, is found high up a skyscraper in the North-East corner of the district. Here you’ll find a park area between the two roads, with a building in the middle with a columned structure on top. The Spider-Bot will be crawling on the Western side of this building among the columns. The Flipside Spider-Bot can be found in the North-West corner of Greenwich.
There is another add-on that players can purchase for extra benefits. Other than that, there are the game’s pre-order benefits, even though the game is not yet available for pre-order. However, its debut will be very similar to its Playstation 5 version. 2025 kicks off with highly anticipated PC ports, the return of Donkey Kong, and at least one hidden-object game with cats.
A City Under Siege
Of all the enemies that Peter Parker and Miles Morales face in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, few are as terrifying and relentless as Venom. Powered by an extraterrestrial symbiote, the villain threatens all of Marvel’s New York over the course of the game and pushes the Spider-Men to the very limit. The fight with Venom is especially personal for Peter, both through his own experiences with the symbiote and whom the symbiote has since bonded with, delivering his greatest challenge as a hero.

This moment is one of the most emotional moments in the game, as it shows Miles moving on from the loss of his father and trying not to let his grudge against Mister Negative consume him.
For it to count you have to land the final hit that kills the enemy using these 4 abilities, for a total of 100 kills. Queens is the borough northeast of Manhattan where Peter Parker grew up and started his journey as Spider-Man. Not much is known yet about this district as Downtown Queens is the only revelead District in one of the game’s earlier showcases.
That’s not to say there aren’t benefits to taking a sneaky route, though, especially when you’re playing as Miles and using his invisibility power to quietly take out enemies. There are many perch takedown possibilities offered and new toys to play with too, such as the Web Line, which allows you to create your own highwires over your enemies to prey on them from above. It’s a fun tool that allows you to reshape the tightly designed arenas into a battlefield more in your favour, and in doing so, redecorate the room with web-wrapped people piñatas. On the other hand, much like combat, stealth isn’t a far cry from the many warehouse encounters you’ll have played in the previous games, as you clear out enemies using largely the same techniques. Instead, Spider-Man 2 plumps for a pretty confused take on the now venerable black suit/Venom’s origin storyline.
Spider-Man 2 quickly reveals these hunters are Kraven and his pack. They’ve gotten bored with chasing game in other parts of the world, but NYC’s heroes and villains represent a new challenge. You can change the abilities from the “Abilities” Menu at any time for Miles. The easiest option for Miles is to play Mysteriums as they have lots of enemies. Alternatively, it can also be done in Crimes as they keep spawning infinitely after the story. Although there was an almost four-year gap between the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man on the PlayStation 4 and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PC, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 fans won’t have to wait as long.
There are so few important landmarks in this version of New York City that the game could’ve taken place in a regular town and felt no different. It brings you closer to that Batman feeling of utterly dominating nameless thugs with your combat prowess. And the way both characters’ powers grow over the course of the story are very satisfying. Very few of the alternate color schemes look better than the default, though.
Fired for abandoning the class, Peter returns to his Aunt May’s home in Queens–which he has moved into following her death[b]–to meet with Mary Jane. They are surprised by Harry, who has miraculously recovered from his terminal illness. Harry hires Peter to work at his environmental technology startup, the Emily-May Foundation (named after Aunt May and Harry’s mother Emily), so they can pursue his dream of “healing the world”. While overseeing a prison transfer with Peter at The Raft, a vengeful Miles fails to stop the Hunters from capturing Martin Li, who previously killed his father, Jefferson Davis.
